Activating User Status in Sales Documents

To activate a user status in a sales document, proceed as follows:

1.

From one of the overview screens for the sales document,


choose Goto Header Status or Goto Item Status.
The system displays the corresponding status screen. The current system status and user status
are displayed in the Processing status field group.

2. Choose Object status.


Select Change profile. System statuses and user statuses are listed separately.
3. To activate a user status, select Activate status.
The system displays a list of all the permitted user statuses, which have all been defined in the
status profile, in a dialog box.
4. Select the user status you want to activate.
The selected user status appears in the list.
5. To display the business transactions that the current processing status allows and prohibits,
select Business transactions.
The system displays a list of allowed and prohibited transactions in a dialog box.

Deactivating a User Status


To deactivate a user status, place your cursor on the user status in the Change Status dialog box and
select Deactivate status.
The system removes the user status from the list and automatically updates the list of business
transactions that may or may not be carried out next.

Changing the Status Profile


You can change the status profile during sales order processing. The status profile is proposed from the
sales document type definition for the header and from the item category for the item.
To change the proposed status profile, proceed as follows:

From one of the overview screens for the sales document,


choose Goto Header Status or Item Status.
The system displays the corresponding status screen. The current system status and user status
are displayed in the Processing status field group.

2. Choose Object status.


Select Change profile. System statuses and user statuses are listed separately.
3. Choose Choose procedure (F16).
The system displays a dialog box where you can choose from the status profiles that are defined for sales
documents in Customizing for Sales.
