- When I say go, students spread out on this half of
the gym. Make sure you wont hit anyone.

- There are a lot of body movements and muscles
working that go into moving like that. Does anyone
know of any body movements or the muscles that
they are moving?
- Today we are going to learn about body
movement and some of the different muscles that
are working

Learnable Piece:

- Students will go through a bunch of movements to
warm their bodies up and get them loose. Students
will learn that this is important to do before
exercising. Students will learn that these muscles
that we think about moving are called skeletal
muscle. Students will be able to pair a muscle with
a type of movement at the end of the lesson. They
will know there are over 15 types of movements
that the body can do.

that we are moving.

Possible Modifications:
- Could add more of the body movements.
- Could show all the parts of the body that do
extension rather than just the arm.
- Could have them do a written assessment at the
end
- Could have them actually do that activities
associated with the movements.
