    Pertamina and SK are considering a minor revamp of one train of the existing Hydrocracking Unit at Dumai Refinery to increase its feed rate from 27,800 to 31,500 barrels per stream day. The revamp aims to produce an additional 4,500 barrels per stream day of 100D and 150D distillates to meet the feedstock demands of a new lube base oil plant, while maintaining a minimum middle distillate production of 22,000 barrels per stream day and achieving an 18 month catalyst cycle.     INTRODUCTION
    The existing Hydrocracking Unit is the HC Unibon Unit licensed by UOP which was built
    in 1984 at Dumai Refinery of Pertamina. The unit consists of two identical trains (HCU211 and HCU-212) and the design feed rate of one train is 27,800 BPSD. The feedstock
    of Hydrocracking Unit is the mixed feed of heavy vacuum gas oil from High Vacuum Unit
    (HVU) and heavy coker gas oil from Delayed Coker Unit (DCU).
    Pertamina and SK are considering a minor revamp to increase the feed rate of the
    existing Hydrocracking Unit (HCU-212) to 31,500 BPSD with 4,500 BPSD of the distillate
    production (100D and 150D) in order to meet the feedstock demand of new lube base oil
    plant keeping the minimum 22,000 BPSD (*) of middle distillate products and meet 18
    month catalyst cycle.
    (*) The amount of middle distillate should be finalized according to the agreement
    between SK and Pertamina after UOPs yield estimation.

    This section shall be confirmed and revised by SK Corp.
