This paper discuss the importance of understanding the concept of comprehensive planning
which is set up through technology for grades K-12 and is being utilized throughout the country.
The paper will also review how technology has enhanced communication with parents, students,
and the global community by way of emails, text message, and phone calls. Providing an
immediate way of communicating with parents and students is always beneficial to teachers.
Finally, the paper will discuss internet security and safety as technology becomes more of a
necessity than a luxury as it relates to communicating within a global community. Technology
can be enhance by utilize inside and outside of the classroom by emails, text message and phone
calls.
Technology to Enhance Communication
Emails:
Parents: when communicating with parents by emails I would use this tool to inform
the parents on how their child performing in school by weekly and by sending out
students about homework assignments, give tests and remind students of upcoming
events or activities that need to be completed.
Text message:
Parents: when communicating with parent by text I wound use the remind website
tool to text parents quickly if a child has a fever or if we on a field trip and if they
get sick. By using this website my text will be anonymous and to allow my personal
number be private.
Students: when texting with students I will continue to use the website remind to get
a message quickly to them and I would use the job cell phone for school to text so
they want have my personal information. Text will be easier to communicate with
Phone calls:
Parents: I would use the phone to call students parents if they are sick and having
behavior issues or their child got hurt on the playground while playing. Also I would
see if the parents have any question or concerns about whats being taught in class.
Students: I would call the student on the phone to see if they feeling better or if they
need help with class work and see if they have any question and concerns.
Global Community: when communicating with the community I would set up
conferences calls because its quicker and easier and how it could be more than one
person on the line. Also how the phone allow us to come together and have a group
discussion about our student ability.
Social media:
Parents: social media is one of the fear for their child to get on, for example
Facebook and Instagram. Only 26% of those surveyed felt the benefits of allowing
their children to use sites such as Facebook outweighed the potential risks,

Students: students are in love with social media because they can communicate with
their friends more if they have a Facebook, Instagram, Social media isn't simply a

Global Community: the global community can search for a person you need it can
be quicker to find them instead of trying to figure out to find them by using social
media.

Technology can be used in many different ways for different reasons. Some
people use it for work or even just to have fun. It comes in handy when you are really in need
especially if it is important for you to get something done. Most importantly it helps you
communicate easier because you dont have to face to face with a person to communicate.
Technology comes in handy in many different ways. Planning will adhere to the importance of
communication through text message, emails, phone calls and social media to embrace the many
ways people use technology.
