Module Goal: Students will understand and reflect on how the Bill of Rights and the
creation of the three branches of government helped shape our Constitution and our
nation.
Learning Objective 1: After studying articles and information given by the instructor, students
will identify each of the amendments in the Bill of Rights with 100% accuracy on a teacher
provided Google Form.
Learning Objective 2: After researching the jobs of each of the three branches of government
and creating a mnemonic device, students will summarize the duties and requirements for each
of the three branches on the course discussion board with 100% accuracy.
Learning Objective 3: Given a job or duty of one branch of government, students will illustrate
the checks and balances process to show how each branch of government is in charge of
checking up on the others with successful completion of a concept map using Popplet.
Learning Objective 4: After completing the necessary learning activities for the module,
students will reflect on their learning using Blogger to discuss insights and important
takeaways from the module with at least one connection to their real life or current events.
