Memorial Health University Medical Center [8 weeks]
o Worked with Dietitians in the Outpatient Center, Eating Disorder Clinic, Oncology, Cardiac, Renal,
GI Surgery, Pediatrics, ICU (Medical ICU, Trauma ICU, Neurovascular ICU). Assessed,
diagnosed, intervened and monitored patients using the nutrition care model. Created Tube
feeding orders, assessed TPN orders, made proper recommendations for supplementation and
diet adequacy.
Candler/St.Josephs Hospital Diabetes Mngt. Center [1 week]
o Counseled diabetic patients and assisted in diabetes education classes. Learned about proper
administration of insulin in various forms as well as how to educate patients on the technique and
importance of checking blood sugar levels.
Ourlife Health [1 week]
o Weight loss program for adults. Counseled patients to lose weight following the protocol of the
specific program entitled OurSkinny.
Southcoast Health [1 week]
o Counseled new onset and uncontrolled Diabetic patients on Carb Counting, healthy plate, diet and
exercise for the diabetic patient. Counseled obese patients on healthy lifestyles changes to help
with various obesity related diseases.
Davita Dialysis [1 week]
o Worked with Dietitian on interpreting labs specific to dialysis, educating patients on the Renal Diet,
and learning the different variations of dialysis administration. Learned the benefits and
disadvantages of Hemodialysis and Peritoneal Dialysis.
Ethica Health and Rehab [1 week]
o Worked alongside dietitian in long term care facility. Met with patients to assess how they were
tolerating food and feeds. Monitored weights and tube feeding rates.
Camp Adam FIsher [1 week]

Diabetes Camp for children ages 5-18. Worked alongside Medical Staff and Counselors. Worked
hands on with insulin injections (pump and syringe) as well as site insertions. Also worked with
food service staff making allergen free meals and carb counting for every meal. This rotation
counted towards food service hours however it was very clinically related.
