Purpose of the research:

To get public school principals perceptions related to the major function of
technology in their schools.
What is the methodology for the research or approach used to understand the
issue? Provide information regarding the following:

Participants:311 public school principals from a large metropolitan area in

the southwest region of the U.S.
Procedures: Principals reported that the major functions of technology
were: a)communication, b)instruction, c)data sharing and management,
d)a resource, e)administrative tasks, f)student learning
Data Collection Methods/Data Source: I did not see what kind of method
has been used, but probably has been used audio taped interviews.

Data Analysis:
Data from International Society for Technology in Education(ISTE)
questionnaire was inputted to get 311 public schools principals
perceptions related to the major functions of technology in their schools.
Principals agreed that using technology has positive affect about school
achievement, improving teachers teaching skills and students

How effects principals technology leaderships to school success
What is the major functions of technology:communication,instruction,data
sharing and management,resources,administrative tasks,student learning
Over 12 years experimented principals perceived that technology was used for
instruction,data sharing and managemeny,and administrative task than the other
School principals play key rolein determining whether or not technology is
intecrated in their schools.
Many principals responded that there was a need for proffecional development

technology leadership of principals may influence the success of technology
implementation in schools
The present study indicates that principals perceptions of the major functions of
technology are varied by sex and years of experience.
Schools should provide funding and opportunities for principals to attend
technology training for better implementations.
Students Reflections (changes to your understanding; for your school/work):
Many research show us, technology has a really big positive function
to give better education to students. if, I teacher is using technology
while preparing documents for class or during the class it would be

easier to understand lessons, lectures for the students.

Principal has a key role about their schools success. So, a principal
should have technology leadership to make good effect to the
teachers and students.
