Testament.
The word Forgiven appears 17 times in the Old Testament and 28 times in
the New Testament.
And the word Forgiving appears 6 times in the Old Testament and 1 time in
the New Testament.
Total is 127

Forgiving One Another

"And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one
another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you. Eph.4:32

What is Forgiveness?
It is
A decision that I freely choose- no one force me
Stop feeling angry or bitter to a person
Stop blaming someone for what was done
Surrender my anger toward a person who hurt me
How does God forgive?
He forgets our sin when we confess it- Heb. 8:12
I will be merciful. I will remember it no more When we confess, God
forgets it.

God forgives the people of Nineveh

Jonah 1:1:1-2; 3:1-2; 4-5

God Forgave a Whole Nation

God Gives Jonah the Command
Now the word of the LORD came unto Jonah the son of Amittai, saying, Arise, go to
Nineveh, that great city, and cry (preach) against it; for their wickedness is come up
before me.
Jonah Repents His Sin
God sent a great fish to swallow Jonah. He stayed in the belly of the whale 3
days. He cried to God and repents of his sin. God told the whale to spit up
Jonah on the beach.
Jonah Obeys the Command
So Jonah arose, and went unto Nineveh, according to the word of the LORD
So the people of Nineveh believed God, and proclaimed a fast, and put on
sackcloth, from the greatest of them even to the least of them.
The Nineties were a wicked, evil people. They hated the Jews and abused and
killed them.
Because the Nineties were so evil to the Jews, the Jews hated them too.
BUT God had compassion on the Nineties and told Jonah to go and preach to
them.
Do we have compassion to people who hurt us? God forgives us and He
expects us to forgive others also.

Why Important to Forgive Others?

We have been forgiven
Eph. 4:32 Even as God for Christs sake hath

forgiven you.

Show Compassion, Forgive Others

Matt. 6:12-15 If we do not forgive others, the Bible says God will not forgive
us.

Why Forgive Others?

Christ May Come Today
Mark 13:32 But of that day that hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels
which are in heaven, neither the Son, but the Father.

How to Forgive Others?

Remember how much you have been forgiven by God. God free
forgives us- we need to free forgive others.
Ask Gods Help- pray to Him. Tell him you have hard time forgiving
that person and ask Him to help you forgive them.
Pray for the person who hurt you. When you think about that person
dont think angry, bad things about them. Pray for them.
Dont gossip about what they did. It is past. All things are become
new.
