Founded in 2013 out of a deep desire to manifest the love of

Jesus to those oppressed by extreme poverty, Big World Project

has made it our mission to rescue and care for street children
around the world. Currently, over 100 million children do not have
a place to call home. These children are left to fend for
themselves on the streets of urban areas with no access to food
or a safe place to call home. Within 48 hours of a child finding
themselves on the streets, they will be approached for sex in
exchange for food and shelter. Out of desperation, many children
fall prey to these traffickers. There are no words to describe the
level of hopelessness and despair a child feels when they find
themselves in these vulnerable situations.
Faced with the challenge of confronting this injustice, we at Big
World Project have developed three main ways in striving to
reach our goal. First, we exist to raise funds to build orphanages
and safe houses to provide homes for victims. Already, we have
four orphanages and a safe house providing protection for over
one hundred children and young women.
Secondly, we establish businesses in the local villages and cities
that we work to assure the sustainability of every orphanage and
safe house as well as providing jobs for the local economy. In this
way, we can ensure that every child or young woman living in a
BWP house is cared for long-term without relying solely on
donations.
Finally, our main desire is to see lives transformed by the living
power and love of our Lord Jesus Christ. As we care for our
children by providing for their daily needs of food, water, medical
care, and education, our main desire is to create a place where
Gods love abounds and hope and healing are experienced
through knowing Jesus and His word.

With over 100 million street kids existing in our world today, we
must take an active role in living out the gospel. We must confront
and strive to provide not only protection, but also love and
redemption. As the contemporary, David Platt stated, We care for
orphans NOT because we are rescuers, but because we are the
rescued. God our Father gave us the perfect example of what it
means to rescue the lost by sending his only son Jesus Christ to
save us from our lost state of sin. Please consider taking part in
this ministry whose heartbeat is founded on this gospel principle.
Isaiah 1:17, Learn to do good; seek justice, correct oppression;
bring justice to the fatherless, plead the widows cause.
Will you help us take part in living out this command for Christs
church?

We care for orphans NOT because we are rescuers, but because

we are the rescued. David Platt
Is this not the fast which I choose, to loosen the bonds of
wickedness, to undo the bands of the yoke, and to let the
oppressed go free and break every yoke? Is it not to divide yoru
bread with the hungry and bring the homeless poor into the
house; when you see the naked, to cover him; and not to hide
yourself from your own flesh? Then your light will break out like
the dawn, and your recovery will speedily spring forth; and your
righteousness will go before you; the glory of the Lord will be your
rearguard. Isaiah 58:6-8
