Abstract. Malaysian educational system emphasize the importance of children

acquiring the ability to read, write and count (3M – Membaca, Menulis,
Mengira). Previous studies have found that children with dyslexia problem are
really weak in those three basic learning areas especially in reading. These
dyslexic children will be left out in school if this critical problem is not resolved
immediately. Hence, reading courseware should be developed in order to help
them eliminate this significant problem. This paper will discuss the methodology
and various aspects relating to the development and usability of reading software
for children with dyslexia problem.
