Ihe San Gabriel Teacher Association and the Management Team adjusted the 2015-16 middie schoo! calendar to include early release days. All Jefferson students will be dismissed af 11:50 a.m. every Wednesday. This new schedule will benefil students directly. The early dismissal time will be used by teachers and administrators ta assess student progress to guide: instruction, and collaborate to design high quolity leaming experiences. Also. this time will be used to provide regular professional development in essential skills and strategies. such as technology and best leaching practices. Our teachers will be better equipped to deliver the rigorous instruction needed to meet and exceed the California State Standards. All SGUSD elementary schools will follow suit in order fo stay competitive with suTounding districts and have early dismissal every Wednesday. All schools in SGUSD will continue to meet all state and federally mandated instructional minutes. Please contact Jefferson middle school if you would like additional information.
