DA 20 Katana EC-JLN

1 Left Main Landing Gear:


check visually Landing Gear Strut, Tire,
Wheel and Brake. Check Tire Pressure
(33 psi / 2.3 bar) and remove Wheel
Chocks.
2 Left Wing:
check visually Entire Wing (2a) and
Stall Warning (2b), remove protection
cap and check Pitot-Static Probe clean
and holes open (2c), remove Tie down
(2d), check visually Taxi and Landing
Lights, Wing Tip, Position Lights and
Strobe (2e), Aileron Balancing Weight
(2f), Aileron including Inspection Panel
(2g) and Wing Flap including
Inspection Panel (2h).
3 Fuselage:
check visually Skin (3a), check Tank
Vent not obstructed (3b), drain Tank
and check no water (3c), check visually
Fuel Quantity (use fuel pipette) (3d)
and Antennas (3e).

4 Empennage: check visually


Stabilizers, Control Surfaces and Trim
Tabs and remove Tie down.
6 Right Main Landing Gear:
check visually Landing Gear Strut, Tire,
Wheel and Brake. Check Tire Pressure
(33 psi / 2.3 bar) and remove Wheel
Chocks.
7 Nose:
Check Oil level by using dip-stick and
Coolant level (7a), check visually
Cowling (7b), check Air Intakes (five)
free (7c), check visually Propeller and
Ground Clearance (minimum: approx.
25 cm (7d), check Propeller Blades
perform Pitch by Hand (7e), check
visually Spinner (7f), Nose Gear (7g),
check Tire Pressure (26 psi / 1.8 bar),
check visually Tire and Wheel (7h) and
remove Wheel Chocks (7i)
NOTE
Avoid blowing inside Pitot-tube and inside airspeed indicator system's static vents as this
may damage instruments.
