their grievances
8. Office personnel are not attentive to the guards'' needs
RECOMMENDATIONS:
Based on the conclusions derived from the findings of the study, it is therefore
recommended that:
1. The management must be able to uplift the guards'' morale, assess their condition,
give serious attention to their common welfare, comply with the existing laws on wages
and benefits, and give credit to whom it is due.
2. The SSS, PhilHealth, PagIbig, or Insurance contributions which are directly deducted
from the salary of guards should be timely remitted to the concerned offices so that the
guards could enjoy the fruit of their endurance at times of emergency and necessity.
3. There must also be a monthly field and office inspection by the PNPSAGSD
operatives of unquestionable integrity and honesty to ensure that the agency is
operating in accordance with the present security standard.
4. To ensure that the management would follow the government policies and regulations
concerning Republic Act 5487, otherwise known as the Private Security Agency law as
amended, there must be, not only strict guidelines but also physical efforts for the
government implementers concerning salaries, wages and other remunerations and
benefits to be complied with by all security agencies nationwide. Likewise, action of the
Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) should be sought for any violation of
labor laws committed by the employer against its employees. This may help to ensure
that during actual operations, the guards would be able to receive their salary and all
benefits mandated by law without unnecessary delay.
