157) ABSTRACT.
The present invention is directed to a non-normalized air-
craft angle-of-attack indicating system. An angle-f-atack
vane produces a signal «indicative of raw aircraft angle-
ot-attack, A ptotstatie system (68) prodvees output sighals
representative of aircraft static pressure and total pressure,
P, and P,. respectively. The signals a’, P, and P, are fed 10
an air data computer (66) which correspondingly produces
an aircraft sctval angle-oF-atack value & and a calculated
“Mach sumber, M. Configuration sensors (80) produce oul-
put signals representative of gear postion, g, fap position,
£,and speed brake position, sb. The signals cy M, gad sb
ave fed toa display computer (76). The display computer
includes a submodule (90) which utilizes a lookup tble 10
determine a value of angl-of-attack stick shaker, from
the values of M, g, f and sb. A second submodule (02)
utilizes 9 Tookup table to produce a second angle-feattaek
reference value from the values g, F and sb. The display
computer (76) feels the ty py signals to an angle-of-
altack indicator which includes a” pointer (102) which is
moveable with respect toa fixed gauge (104), The signal
is used to drive the pointer (102) to indicate the airerali's
actual angle-oF-atack. Bug drivers are utilized to position
the fist bug c,, and ihe second bug, cy at their appropriate
Positions on the opposite side of the gtuge.
