Russo as she exited the store font, Loss prevention officers identified themselves and advised her to return into the store so they could recover the itens she had concealed on her person. Mrs Russo refused to reventer. Kohls and entered the parking lot area in an attempt to gain access to’ her moter vehicle. Loss prevention officers then informed Medford Control of the location of Hrs. Russo in the parking lot and that she was being followed by five loss prevention officers / witness, Threresa Josselin / anna i [Maria Rapanikes / Nadia dorge / Sujey Nejua and William Queen. | At that time T was inside the Meadow Glen Mall and was walking in the dixection of Kohls. As T exited the Mall, I could see Mrs. Russo and her 9year old déughter fleeing the front of Kohis with loss prevention officers following behind. T then walked up to Mre. Russo and held out my badge and identification and advised her that I was a Medford'Police Detective. I asked her to stop. I watched as Urs. Russo stopped arid dropped a sterling silver bracelet to the ground from ner right hand. retrieved this item from the ground. Kohl's Loss Prevention Officers identified the [bracelet as one of the itens Ms. Russo had stolen from the store. The loss prevention officers advised ite that they had witnessed Mrs. Russo take numerous itens from the store bypassing the registers without paying for those items. zs. Russo became very upset and attempted to push past ne. I re-advised her that I was a Medford Police officer and asked her were she was going.” Mrs. Russo began yelling, "I didn't do fucking anything. Get the fuck avay from me." At this point her daughter becane very upset and began crying. When asked, Mrs. Russo refused « to return to the inside of the Kohls store. She then pushed past me and started to leave. I had to physically retrain her from leaving. 1 then escorted her back into ‘Kohls: On several occasions, Nrs. Russo attempted to pull avay, yelling vulgarities jst me and the Kohls loss prevention officers as her daughte: looked on crying, 'teiting her mother to stop. We entered the loss prevention office. Kohls LPO fenale Officers searched the bags belonging to Mrs. Russo and recovered nunerous items that were still tagged and in the boxes. These items consisted of 3 sterling silver bracelets valued at | | $100.00 each, 4 sterling silver individual charms valued at 980.00 each, nunerous |pairs of underwear and bra's and a bottle of perfume. All itens were identified as belonging ‘to the store. The total amount of the tens recovered was yalued by Kohl's | personnel at $673.00.1t was also belived by L20 officers that Mrs. Russo's daughter |also had concealed merchandise on her person, but due to her age she was not searched. I placed Mrs. Busso under arrest, She wae transported to the Medford Police Station by Officer Ricciardi, in the wagon. The daughter was transported to Medford Police Station by Officer Jason Montalbano, Mrs. Russo was advised of her rights and booked by Sgt. Rogors..During booking, Mrs. Russo was searched by Detective Patricia Sullivan. Detective Sullivan found two (2) silver charms inside of Mrs. Russo's bra that were identified as itens belonging to Kohls. Detective Sullivan also” spoke with the ddughter 6f Mrs. Ruseo.
