What:
Students will be responsible for facilitating a commentary on a self-selected passage (you choose your own!)
from the previous nights reading of 20-30 lines. Please coordinate with those presenting so that you are not all
commenting on the same portion.
Pick what you think is the most significant passage from the reading, explain your understanding of the passage,
the significance to the text as a whole, and comment on how style, structure, technique, and language shape
meaning. (Criterions A & B)
Prepare ONE guiding question to ask the class and accept responses. Answer any questions the audience has.

When:
Each class, one to two students will present. You only present on your day.
Presentations will last between five to eight minutes each. Questions may push it a bit longer, but prepare no
more than eight minutes of commentary.
Will occur at the beginning of class so that Ms. Broccolino does not accidentally steal your thunder
