Call for Undergraduate Student Research Papers

For presentation at The Collin College Interdisciplinary Undergraduate Student Research


Conference – April 30, 2010

THEME: Traditional Research in Interdisciplinary Specializations, Approaches to culture


Including Research Manuscripts, Research Papers, Research Reports, Service
Learning Research, Scientific Experiment Research, Exploratory Research, etc.

OPEN TO: Undergraduate students at both 2-year and 4-year institutions


Students who complete their undergraduate degree in Dec. 2009 are eligible for conference consideration.

Research not only bridges the gap between knowledge and experience but has the benefit
of laying the groundwork for career exploration and development. The opportunity for
undergraduates to participate in a regional conference is an added value to the overall
education experience and to the process of self-discovery.

CRITERIA FOR SELECTION: Scholarly Work; Defined Justification; Logical


Organization; Mastery of Subject; Appropriate Citation Documentation
Abstracts, full papers, reports, and proposed unified panel &/or round table
sessions are considered with strong consideration given to fully completed
research.

Awards given for top research, including printing in a professional publication.

Include a detachable cover page with the title, author’s name, institutional affiliation,
phone/fax number, e-mail address, and a brief 1-paragraph abstract inclusive of a list of
5-8 keywords.
Absolutely no identifying information is to be found on the submission itself as
we utilize a blind review process.

SUBMISSION DEADLINE:
All submissions must be received by March 1, 2010
