Wellness Grading Policies

Grading will be determined by percentages in the following categories:


1. 60% Fitness
a. Personal Fitness Workouts
b. Wellness 5K
c. Pedometers
d. Heart Rate Monitors
2. 40% Written Work
a. Health Work
b. Written Responses to workouts
c. Tests/Quizzes
d. Project based assessments
3. Fitness gram will be used to test cardiovascular endurance,
muscular endurance, muscular strength and flexibility three
times throughout the year. Students will be doing workouts
throughout the year to help improve these fitness components.
A students goal is to improve his or her baseline score each time
he or she tests.
The following rubrics will be used to assess Heart Rate Monitors and
Pedometers:
