Role of teachers to face the 21 st century challenges based on the PPPM

development (2013-2025)

In addition to the imminent importance of the "21st-century skills in coping with the
challenges faced in nowadays world, teacher plays pivotal role in becoming pillars towards our
nations educational system; by improving the educational quality (Hazri Jamil, 2014). In
learning, one will teach and in teaching, one in return will learn as learning is an ongoing
process throughout our life. By learning one learns their weaknesses and in return will rise to
become better. Align with the nations objective in addressing the 21 st centurys challenges,
teacher holds crucial role in determining the value of Malaysians education system as
addressed by the Malaysian Education Blueprint (2013-2025) or better known as PPPM (Pelan
Pembangunan Pendidikan Malaysia 2013-2025).
