Balance and Emphasis
Balance:an even distribution of weight enabling someone or something to remain upright and steady to make the picture even and easy on the eye, so it will stand out and look clean cut

is the ability to attract attention and make an element stand out focal point or points to provide visual emphasis. These are elements that attract the eye and act as a visual climax, stressing a key point or points within the composition.

from something else, typically something in juxtaposition or close association Helps with the value of light and dark
Harmony, Proximity and Variety
Harmony:the combination of simultaneously sounded musical notes to produce chords and chord progressions having a pleasing effect Works with colors and shapes to help the piece of work fit together
Proximity:nearness in space, time, or relationship
Proximity relationships will generally dominate over similarity relationships
Variety:
the quality or state of being different or diverse;
the absence of uniformity, sameness, or monotony
