Tennessee Technological University, popularly known as Tennessee Tech, is an
accredited public university located in Cookeville, Tennessee. Founded in 1915,
Tennessee Tech is governed by the Tennessee Board of Regents.

Admission Requirements:
FRESHMEN UNDER 21 YEARS OLD

A few programs at Tennessee Tech have additional admission requirements for
admission. If a student meets the general admission requirements, but not the
requirements specified this program, the student will be admitted to the Student
Success Program (also known as General Curriculum or General Health Studies).
Again, these additional requirements only affect which academic advisor you have,
not which classes you will take.

Students who do not meet all of the requirements listed above may submit a letter
to the Admissions Review Committee explaining their circumstances. This appeal
process is a non-competitive, holistic, and individualized process where a review

core course GPA and grade trends, as well as non-cognitive elements such as an
applicants concept of self, ability to deal with adversity, long-range goals,
community involvement, special interests or abilities, leadership, and support
structures.
