This is a transcript of an Interview done on August 20th, 2014 to Mariano Quiroz

Mara Cristina: Where do you work and what is your role in that company?
Mariano: I work in the sales department of RIMSA Laboratories. This is mainly a
medical laboratory that manufactures a variety of medications.
Maria Cristina: Do you think that the company you work for needs in any way help
that can be solved via an IT system?
Mariano: I think that RIMSA needs to improve the way it promotes their products.
This would help optimise the sales and gain recognition from the public.
Maria Cristina: How do you promote the products at the moment?
Mariano: Right now we send medical visitors to different hospitals in different
territories. They give questionnaires to the doctors in order to obtain information
regarding the sample products that they need.
Maria Cristina: Where do you store that information?
Mariano: The information is stored in the main database of the office. The medical
visitors transcript the information once they get to the office.
Mara Cristina: How do you think that this process could be optimised?
Mariano: Maybe if there was a relational database that could be accessed from any
type of device, they wouldnt have to wait to get to the office to store the information.
There are a lot of hours lost between the time they go to the hospitals and back to
the office. This time could be spent more efficiently visiting more hospitals.
