Presented by:

Katie Durden

Objectives:

participation overall

Methods of Tracking:
Assigned front gate
to either promote
visitors to participate
or not
Tracked the
immediate next
group through the
gate
Group was tracked
until they passed the
kiosk
Group was
considered engaged
with kiosk if they
stopped for at least 3

What we used:
Clipboard
Stopwatch
Tracking Checklist

If tracker was detected by

Conclusions :
An explanation
did not
influence if
visitors studied
the signs or
conversed
about the
kiosk.

Tracking units who

received an
explanation were
significantly more
likely
to vote.

The average time

spent at the kiosk
was 47 seconds.

Conclusions:
46% participated in
some way with the
kiosk and
42% voted with at
least one washer.

The larger the

tracking unit, the
more likely they are
to stop at the kiosk.

Guests who
did not
receive an
explanation
were more
likely to pass
the kiosk
without
stopping.

Recommendations:
The explanation about the washers is
a useful tool, but could be optional in
the afternoon.

Add signs near

bathrooms and
stroller station
to help locate
kiosk.

Have an adult
volunteer
stationed at the
kiosk to
promote guests
spending more
time at the
kiosk.
