With a few simple steps, PPC compression connectors can be easily and consistently installed

Step #1

Straighten cable and use cable cutter to cut off cable squarely. Open blade lever and lock open with pin.
Insert cable, to stop position and release blade lever. Rotate tool clockwise, when done blade will rest flat.
Open blade lever and lock with pin. Remove from tool and pull off outer conductor.

Step #2

Insert cable into side of tool and release the blade lock pin. Apply pressure to blade lever and turn tool
to loosen the foam dielectric from center conductor. Remove dielectric piece. Make sure center conduc-
tor is free of foam residue.

Step #3

Insert cable into other side of tool. Rotate tool clockwise to core foam dielectric and chamfer the center
conductor. Remove the tool from cable. Inspect cable and repeat coring step if necessary.

Step #4

Align center conductor to o-ring. Mark cable jacket (using fingernail or marker) where back cap is. Thread
the connector on until hand tight, It should be where your mark is.

Step #5

Use the correct insert in the frameset. Pull back on interior of frameset
to insert connector and cable into HCG-FRAMESET-1/2 on the HCG-CC
compression tool. Make sure connector is seated in frameset. Press tool
trigger to compress the connector. Do not push on tool/cable during Connector Frame Set Insert
compression. When fully compressed, connector back will move away from
alignment mark. Use the correct torque wrench for the interface to attach CC-DM-F4 Insert A
