Discipline Procedure
If a student fails to adhere to any of the rights and
responsibilities of St. Francis Junior High, or does not
comply with the rules specified in the classroom, he or she
will be subject to the following discipline procedure:
1.
2.
3.

First indiscretion verbal warning

Second indiscretion verbal reminder
Third indiscretion Asked to leave the classroom

After a third indiscretion the student will have a brief

conversation with the teacher and they will discuss proper
classroom behavior.
If a student is re-admitted to the classroom and persists
there indiscrete behavior and/ or interrupts the learning of
other students in anyway, that student will be asked to

stay for a lunchtime meeting the following day to discuss

their behaviour further.
At this junction there will hopefully no longer be any issues
with behaviour.
If a student gets to the point where he or she is asked for
another lunch time meeting the teacher will be contacting
the students parents or guardians to address the issue.
If the student continues to make choices that disregard his
or her rights and responsibilities at St. Francis Junior High
he or she will then be referred to administration and will
be subject to the overarching discipline policy laid out in
the student handbook.
