4th Grade Research Project on World Religions

Your Mission: You will become an expert on your chosen world religion. In order
to do this, you will have to work with your team to find the answers to the questions
below. Remember to always record your sources, and to take detailed point form notes
to help you explain your understanding to your classmates later on.
By the end of the project, you must have a Power Point with all the
information below.
Guided Research Questions:
1. Who founded the religion? Write some information about the person and what
inspired him/her. (INCLUDE A PICTURE)
2. When was it founded?
3. Where was it founded?
4. Does your religion have any symbols? What do they mean? (INCLUDE A PICTURE)
5. Is the religion monotheistic or polytheistic? Explain.
6. Does your religion have a holy book? If yes, what is its name? What does it contain?

7. What is the code of conduct of your religion? Remember: Code of conduct is a set of rules
that should be followed by people in order to live a good life.

8. Tell an important story from this religion.


9. Describe one ceremony or ritual that occurs in this religion. (INCLUDE A PICTURE)
10. Does it have a particular dress or clothing? (INCLUDE A PICTURE)
11. Where is it practiced nowadays? (INCLUDE A MAP)
12. How many people practice it?
13. Include any other information important to the religion.
14. References (Books: title author year / Websites: URL title).
