The Department of Science and Technology (DOST) Scholarship 2015-2016 Application Form is now available for download. Every year,
DOST offers undergraduate scholarship opportunities to talented and deserving students who wish to pursue 4 or 5 year degree priority
courses in science and technology fields. The RA 7687 Scholarships and the Merit Scholarships both aim to produce and develop high
quality human resources needed for the Science and Technology
(http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Category:Science_and_technology_in_the_Philippines) (S&T) and Research and Development (R&D)
initiatives in the country.
DOST Scholarship Categories

RA 7687 Science and Technology Scholarship is for applicant whose socio-economic status does not exceed the set values of all the
identified indicators as approved by DOST-SEI Advisory Committee on S&T Scholarships. No fees are required for RA 7687 applicants.
The DOST-MERIT Scholarship is for applicant who belongs to a family whose socio-economic status does not exceed the set values of any

The DOST-MERIT Scholarship is for applicant who belongs to a family whose socio-economic status does not exceed the set values of any
of the identified indicators. The applicants must pay a non-refundable test fee of P200.
Who can apply for DOST Scholarship 2015?

Below are the major criteria of those who are qualified to apply for DOST Scholarship.
General Criteria of Eligibility
RA7687 Merit
Natural born Filipino Citizen

Poor, Talented and deserving student who belongs to a family whose socio-economic status does not exceed the set
values of certain indicators.
Top 5% of the regular high school graduating class; or
Member of the graduating class of DOST-SEI identified or DepEd-recognized science high school
Resident of the municipality for the last 4 years as attested by the barangay;
Of good moral character and in good health; and
Qualifier of the S&T Scholarship Examination
Who are not qualified to apply for DOST Scholarship 2015?

Certification that applicant belongs to the upper 5% of graduating class (Form D1); or
Certification that applicant belongs to the graduating class of DOST-SEI identified or DepEd recognized science high
school (Form D2)
Statement of applicant that he/she has not taken any undergraduate units or post secondary course (Form E)
Statement of applicant parent that applicant has no pending application as immigrant to any country (Form F)
Certificate of Residency (Form G)
Two recent (1"x1") pictures
Photocopy of Birth Certificate
Parent(s) 2013 Income Tax Return/W2/Employment Contract for OFW/BIR Cert. of Exemption from Filing of
ITR/Brgy. Cert. of Indigency
Electric Bill for 3 consecutive months in 2014
Where to Get/Submit Application Form for DOST Scholarship 2015?

The application form for DOST Scholarship are usually mailed by DOST to the different schools and DepEd Division offices. The forms can
also be obtained from the nearest DOST Provincial Office. The Negros Occidental (http://www.experiencenegros.com/about/negrosoccidental/) Provincial Science and Technology Center (PSTC) is at Cottage Road, Bacolod City. For those unfamiliar with the DOST Office,
its beside the office of DOLE, fronting the Hall of Justice. You may also call (034) 7070170 for more inquiries.

Deadline of Filing of Application and Date of DOST Scholarship Examination

2015 DOST-SEI Scholarship Application EXTENDED! Please be informed that the deadline for the filing of application forms and
requirements for the 2015 DOST-SEI Undergraduate Scholarship Examination has been extended until 29 August 2014 (Friday).

DOST offers scholarships for incoming 3rd year enrolled in priority courses. The application forms are usually available in July.

Are you an existing scholar? Visit your DOST provincial or regional office so they can guide you on what to do. You can still
make an appeal for the reinstatement of your scholarship.
