Is college worth the cost? : College Students
College is not just a degree. College is a place to make memories, build relationships, and
connections. Also, a place to gain experience and explore opportunities. To succeed in college,
you must make certain sacrifices within your personal life such as time and money, but if you
utilize your time wisely and plan carefully with your financial aid office you will have enough
money to cover your living expenses, college fees, and course cost.
Incoming college students, as well as current college students can not afford the cost of
college. Many students apply for scholarships and Free Application for Federal Application
(FAFSA) . FAFSA is a document that determines the amount of currency a student will attain to
assist their financial expenses while attending a postsecondary institution. FAFSA is used to
determine the students
loan and grant amounts, as well as work study.
Incoming college students are naive, and have no idea about the cost of living. For
instance, food. In college, you are given a meal plan. Meal plan amounts range from 3,000-7,000
dollars depending on the university you choose to attend. The main purpose of a meal plan is to
supply you with meals throughout the semester. The type of meal plans vary from 60 meals per
semester, 80 meals per semester, and unlimited. Along with food expenses, you will have
personal expenses. Such as, toothpaste, toilet paper, listerine, game and movie tickets, spirit
wear

and other essentials. If you save and manage your money wisely, you should have money to
cover the cost.
Your schools financial aid office is a vital resource. Financial aid can help pay for many
things. The financial aid you receive can cover your tuition and books. In addition to tuition,
students will come across additional course fees. Additional course fees can range from a lab fee,
program fee, tech fee, and many more. Each course will require specific supplies, such as
laptops,goggles,calculators,folders,hard drives,binders, and etc.
College is expensive, but if you utilize the right resources and apply for financial aid
youll be able to cover the cost. College is not just a degree. College is a place to make
memories, build relationships, and connections.

B. You, who are doing the peer review for friend, please write a paragraph of at least three
sentences describing what you like about this paper.
I liked how you focused more on having both the students and parents apply for FASFA
for loans or grants to help cover more college cost. Also, letting them know the amount it might
be around for a college meal plan. Even in the end how you restated and reminded them to apply
to FASFA.

C. You, who are doing the peer review for your friend, please list at least 4 items the writer
should consider revising in this draft to make it stronger.
-Just know or write in that they can apply for scholarships as well because FASFA may not cover
all of your college tuition

-Just make sure they know its not just the one application they have to fill out for all of the
different loans and grants, there maybe more than one.
-Some spelling, just double check and make sure you didnt miss a letter.
