Apple Pie Pops!

Ingredients
Pie Crust
100 ml
Flour
5 ml
Sugar
Pinch
Salt
40 ml
Margarine (cold)
20 ml
Water (cold)
Apple Filling

Granny Smith Apple, finely diced


7 ml
Brown Sugar
7 ml
White Sugar
4 ml
Flour
1 ml
Cinnamon
Dash
Nutmeg

Other

Method
1. Preheat oven to 375 F
2. In a medium bowl, combine flour, sugar and salt.
3. Using a pastry blender, cut-in margarine until mixture is crumbly.
4. Add cold water and stir with a fork until a ball forms.
5. Flatten dough into a disk, wrap in plastic and place in freezer for 10 minutes.
6. In a medium bowl, combine diced apples, white sugar, brown sugar, flour,
cinnamon and nutmeg.
7. Lightly flour a work surface. Roll out dough until about 1/8 inch thick.
8. Using a cookie cutter or bottom of a glass, cut out 8 circles (or other shapes!).
9. Place half of the circles on a baking sheet (use parchment paper if you do not
have a Sil-Pad)
10. Place a lollipop stick in the center of the dough and press down.
11. Place a scoop of the apple mixture in the center of the dough, leaving room
around the edge.
12. Take another piece of dough and carefully stretch out so that when placed on

top of the first piece it slightly overlaps the bottom.


13. Use a fork to seal the two pieces of dough together. Do not leave spaces or the
pop will leak. If needed, add a little extra dough to the area around the stick to seal it
well.
14. Lightly brush the pie pops with egg wash using a pastry brush (egg wash = 1
egg + 15mL water)
15. Pierce the tops of the pops with a small knife or fork to make vents.
16. Bake for 12 -15 minutes or until golden.
17. Optional: remove from oven and brush with butter. Lightly sprinkle with coarse
sugar.
18. Let cool and enjoy!
