We
read a fiction story called Sam and the Bag
We partner read and learned Elbow/Elbow, Knee/Knee
We are continuing to work on story elements
Writers Workshop-We are writing another Narrative in a friendly letter form.
We learned that sentences need to have an ending mark.
We practiced Frog Jump and Corner Capitals in Handwriting. Please use the same language at home that
was given in Curr. Night packet.
We are getting ready for Parent Readers. We have 11 minutes of reading stamina!
We are learning about number partners, number mountains and stair steps
Students worked on partners of 10
We started an Interactive Math Notebook and will be adding to it all year.
We took our first unit test.
All concepts are in the math glossary that was shared at Curriculum Night.
Social Studies/Science
We are working on Rules at school and why they are important
Students are learning that we need rules to get along, be fair, to share and to learn.
We took our second assessment about rules.

We used Pixie to practice math partners.
