ASSIGNMENT (30 marks)

A travel company is interested in studying the market of a new travel

package proposed by the Marketing department. The main purpose is to
study the relationship of probability of interest in travel package with
some factors. For this purpose, a sample of clients was taken and was
classified by gender, age group and whether they were interested in the
product. The following table was produced:

The data should be coded as follows:

Interest in Holiday package: Not interested = 0, Interested = 1
Gender: Male = 1, Female =2;
Age group: Under 25 = 1; 25-44 = 2; 45-49 = 3; 60 and over = 4

You are required to analyse the data on MINITAB using logistic

regressions with Interest in Holiday package as a binary response
and gender and age group as explanatory variables.

Please support with extracts from the MINITAB output (in the
Annex).

Write equations for each of the models fitted and provide an

assessment of the alternative models tested. Write a brief nontechnical report.
