accuracy to the class.
H-R Fitness (H): SWBAT remain active and engaged 90% of the time during the duration of
the lesson until dismissed by the instructor.

Demonstration Plan:

COTS to the class while visually walking
them through the steps using the required
equipment. The teacher will then have 2
student volunteers to visually
demonstrate the correct
techniques/COTS to their peers while
passing and receiving the football. .

Demonstration Plan:
The students will have practiced passing
and catching the football, which was
demonstrated earlier. The teacher will
verbally point out the visual marks for
the teams touchdown areas and the out
of bounds line.
Questions to Check Understanding
Where do you place your fingers on the
football? (Laces) If you are on offense do
you have the ball or are you trying to
keep the other team from scoring? (We
have the ball/ trying to score) When you
hear your teacher blow the whistle, what
should you do? (Put the ball on the
ground and freeze with my hands on my
head, with my eyes on you)

CLOSURE:
Review: That was a good game! Give
yourselves a hand! (Clapping) I like to
see that all of you were engaged in the
activities. With quiet hands raised, can
someone tell me the COTS for throwing
a football? Great! What about catch a
football? Great! Tomorrow Ms. Lauren
will introduce you to a fun game of the
human knot and keep it up using
volleyballs.

ASSESSMENT TECHNIQUE: While students are practicing passing and catching the ball with their partners,
the teacher will assess the students techniques using a formal assessment. The group who is spotted doing the
technique correctly will be used as a demonstration.
