    pleasureofhavingCasiasmystudentinMAT157MathematicsforElementaryTeachers
    inthefallof2010.Casiwasanidealstudentinallaspects.Shestrivedforexcellentgrades
    andalwaysproducedqualityworkinmyclass.

    MathematicsforElementaryTeachersisamaththeoryclassthatinvolveslearningthe
    theoriesbehindmathematicalconceptsaswellastheprocessofcalculatinganswers.This
    courseischallengingtoall,butCasirosetothatchallenge.Casihasastrongdesireto
    becomeateacheranddemonstratedmanyofthecharacteristicsofasuccessfulteacher
    includingstrongcriticalthinkingskills,creativity,flexibilityanddedication.Sheearnedan
    Aforthiscoursebyconsistentlyearningtopscoresinallcategoriesofassessment
    includingtests,homework,andsemesterlongprojects.

    Casiwouldbeanexcellentscholarshiprecipientsinceshehasprovenherdeterminationin
    completingthetaskssetbeforeherandalwaysstrivingforherpersonalbest.Evenwhen
    shewasoutwithaseriousillnessfortwoweekssheconstantlycommunicatedher
    progressanddiligentlykeptupwithheracademicresponsibilities.Casisdeterminationis
    notacommontraitinyoungstudentsandisdefinitelyadmiredbyothers.Icouldalways
    relyonCasismatureandconscientiousattitudetowardheracademics.

    CasisclassmatesandIalwayslookedtoherasarolemodeltotheclassandI
    wholeheartedlyrecommendherforascholarship.
