Arch Is_ is a competition to select two exceptional young architects/designers
Tom Wiscombe chosen by a distinguished panel of jurors. The winners of the AIA Los Angeles EMERGENT, Los Angeles, CA “Young Architectural Talent” Awards will receive a cash prize, give a public lecture, and be featured on the AIA|LA Chapter website. Each winner will present a lecture, followed by a panel discussion of all entries and what they represent for the future directions of architecture. The panel will be composed of the 2010 Arch Is_ jury: Scott Johnson FAIA, Principal of Johnson Fain; Christopher Hawthorne, Architectural Critic for the LA Times; Brook Hodge, Independent Curator; Hitoshi Abe, Chair of the Dept. of Architecture and Urban Design at UCLA. The panel will be moderated by John Kaliski, AIA.
