No single system can provide all the information an organization needs. There are
different kinds of systems to support different needs, interest, specialty and levels
in an organization.
Your task: Write a report of IS Application: Past, Present and Future.
Guidelines:
1. Choose any one of the IS application of interest to you:
a. Decision Support System
b. Management Information System
c. Knowledge Management System
d. Electronic and Mobile Commerce
2. Write a paper about the topic
a. The length of your essay is between 10-15 pages long excluding cover
page
b. Written in 1.4 spacing; 12pp, Times New Roman.
c. Include complete references (you may minimum of 10 articles, i.e any
related references including conference papers, URLs and etc)
d. Journal articles* must be the ones considered to be good and
relevant academic journal within the IS field. You may use UM library
databases or search using Google Scholar, however some of article
need to be retrieved via databases
3. Rubrics for marking: Quality of the chosen article, well reviewed and good
structure of the report, punctuality of submission
4. The report must be submitted on Week 6 via Spectrum and hardcopy to your
lecturer.

Cover page should include: Your name and matric number, course code and your
Topic.

- Introduction, Objectives, Structure of Paper
2.0Literature Review
- Can be divide into a few sub topics
- Includes definition/evolution/system function/implication of the system on the
organization/stakeholder involvement/data
3.0Previous Study
- Discussed previous/existing application based on field
4.0Conclusion (Conclusion/Future Research)

5.0Reference
