William Penn Music Booster Meeting Minutes

Executive Board Barb, Pam, Donna. Mickey not in attendance due to an out of state
viewing.
Call to order 6:30 pm
President Report:
Disney contact made with bus company for partial refund. Waiting response.
Rita Wherry taking over as Chaperone Chair. Sharon resigned after outdoor season.
Treasurer Report:
$33,019.65 available between the two accounts
Hospitality Report:
Need help with serving Guard. Mandy Poe will help on Saturday, January 17.
Barb Comment:
Facebook Pages - Language being used not appropriate
Uniform Report:
For Marching Band, turn in day is January 24.
Issue with white uniform shirts. Boosters have been paying, but this needs to change
as it is part of the school supplied uniform.
Mr. Archer Classroom Report:
Trip to Hershey for FUN, not competition. Talked with Ms. Fesmire and they are
trying to put together for May.
Fundraising:
Joe Corbis and Ad pages for the home show running January/February.
Mr. Archer:
3rd Marking Period starts tomorrow.
Starting to plan for next year Marching Band. Looking at starting a new circuit. USA
Bands (Prior Met Life trip we took a couple years ago. Possible trip to Met Life or
Annapolis.
Question: Can we host a show? Yes, already checked into it.
Question: Are there other groups near us that would come to our show? Pam
already checked with Frawley on confirming our date.
Question: Are there enough shows we can travel to between 30 minutes to 2 hours?
Mr. Archer hopes to have a list for Marching Band by end of school year.
Chris Crawford:
Schedule for Blackwatch show is out. Appo Home show for 2/21 pulled off calendar,
looking for replacement.
Asked how guard can obtain show shirts, while paying for Wildwood championships.
Approximately $10-15 per shirt. Donna Owens said they could take money off next
payment.
Show flags were presented.
Tyree Miller:
Cost of Season - money not allotted.

Boosters need to take time off for vacation.

Dayton OH bus quote is $7,200. WGI has been approved by District.
CT approved by District to take a school bus.
Discussion on Fund Raisers for individual groups. Mr. Archer to provide regulations
on how to do fundraisers through school.
WGI Explanation of areas involved.
Tyree to come up with estimate to see where short fall will be and estimate of money
needed to make WGI happen.

Home Show/Barb:
Food LoriLee and Kathleen will not be doing food this year. Don Waltz has
volunteered to run the food this year.
Sign up sheets will be going out.
Reserving of rooms are being worked on.
