Revising Technical Documents explanation

The element that was chosen for the revision exercise was color. Out of all the concepts,
principles, and visual attributes, color was the one thing that the portfolio website lacked the
most. As can be seen in the original picture, the previous tab had no color at all. The image that
served as a template for the title was a standard gray mountain. Even the writing that served as
the title of the page, and posts only came in standard white. Not only did the white not properly
contrast with the rest of the page, it was just plain depressing to look at.
After the revision, a new image, of government buildings, replaced the previous stale
colored mountain. The title of the page was also bolded and made bright yellow. The new
contrast of the new image working together with the bold yellow font is an immediate attention
getter. The writing under the title, which gives out class information, that previously went unnoticed, was changed to a more suitable red. After the top, as the user moves down he
immediately sees a subtitle named Original Job Posting, and a colorful picture of a book. The
green-white subtitle goes well with the book, as it contributes to a smooth transition to the
original job posting picture. After the original job picture is seen, the reader is met with another
eye catching subtitle for the revising documents section. The mix of dark-red and white shows
another well put color contrast, which signals the end of the revisions for the page.
All these revisions will work better for the reader in many ways. To begin with, the page
previously did not hook the reader into staying. Any document that maintains a dull color
outlook makes it that much harder to keep interest with the reader. Now upon opening the webpage for the first time, the reader will be introduced with an eye-catching title, as well as various
other types of interesting font colors. It was also important to note that putting too much color

into something could be just as bad as having none at all. These revisions to color have been
wonderful to this website, and will be constantly made throughout the course.
