Description of how to implement in the class: I will introduce the activity by first teaching and
giving examples of how to collect data, add my findings to the graph club. I will call the
students one by one to come up to the board to move the graph to their favorite animal using
ActivInspire software. Once everyone has contributed, I will then take the discussion back
over.
The students will be asked what they notice about the graph. Which animal is less than, Which
are equal, and which is greatest. The students will then come up with their own question and
will walk around and collect their own data based on their classmates. We will then pull out
the laptops or visit the computer lab so they can enter their findings and create their own
graphs.
Level of Technology Implementation (LoTi): This activity is a level 2 until the students
beginning graphing their own info. It moves to a level 3 or possibly a level 4 when the students
collect their own data, graph it, and analyze the results.
