life along with the people
around you that God placed
you with.

To attend college to recieve
and continue your education
to better yourself and your
future.

Joining:
Joining is inevitable because
you are born into a family.
You can also join by
marrying into the family.

Joining:
During high school you have
to apply to universities you
would like to attend and
meet the prerequisites to
enroll.

How I Belong:
I was born into the
Appelzoller Family in 1997.
Being apart of this family
has molded me into the
person I am now.
Communication:
Both the English and
Spanish languages are used,
which includes spanglish in
my household. Nicknames
are commonly used such as
"The Pinkys" and "El Nino".

How I Belong:
I am a freshman enrolled at
UTEP. I plan to further my
education to earn a degree
in Kinesiology.
Communication:
Popular way is through email
and using lingo pertaining to
school such as Miners, Picks
Up, fight song, Blackboard,
WebAssign, and UGLC.

Purpsoe:
To take part in a sport and
play competively or for fun.
It involves engaging in team
work, learning new skills,
and developing bonds with
teammates and coaches.
Joining:
Popular way of joining is
through school or on city
league teams.
How I Belong:
I played softball throughout
high school. Now I continue
to play softball as a hobby.
Communication:
Using terms pertaining to
the sport such as double
header, your count, stike,
linedrive, on deck, grand
slam, and also learning cues
from coaches while batting.

Purpose:
To communicate in a more
informal way with family
and friends. It involves
expressing yourself
through posts and
pictures.
Joining:
Make an account on a
social media site and
engage in sharing with
others.
How I Belong:
I have a Facebook,
Instagram, Twitter and
Snapchat account, where I
share daily life activities,
pictures, and thoughts.
Communication:
Communication is done
through actions that we
refer to as likes, retweets,
hashtags, and filters.
