The class will start by providing students with the cultural and legal knowledge, along with personal support, to succeed in their Disney assignments. Uti ring students’ ‘experience at Disney, this online course will then foster discussion through posts, assignments, ‘Skype Meetings, field trips, and one-on-one meetings with the instructor. Students will integrate information from their Disney learning and volunteer experience. As we move forward, we will ‘compare and contrast the Disney cultural and business model with other US and international businesses, and students will provide further case studies. Finally, students will align their current work assignments with Disney company goals as well as their further goals in education and/or career. The objective is to leverage Disney experience with education and reflection to create a dynamic, value-added experience that will increase student knowledge and experiential learning; this will also help them develop future plans for working for and with American businesses. Valencia - Business Management This course will cover the opportunities and challenges of supervising employees and tasks and balancing organizational requirements with interpersonal abilities. The focus will be on both on business needs and skillful interaction between customers/clients and employees. Modules will start with skills for individual employees (new hires) and progress through project management and supervising others. The format will be highly interactive, utilizing the same training material currently used by many Fortune 500 companies, government agencies and nonprofit organizations.
