SUBJECT: (Bullying)
Dear Ms. Gallardo,
Its founder Rose Ellis, to prevent all forms of bullying and to educate the community
about the affects and consequences of bullying created STOMP Out Bullying in 2005.
Through communication practices and discourse practices they help spread their message
to world, theyre helping kids and adults come together and stop it once and for all.
STOMP Out Bullying helps bring families together by fighting for the same cause. They
learn together how to notice signs of bullying amongst each other and other people and
what they can do to help out. They educate administrative, teachers, and students on the
awareness of bullying and how instead of sweeping it under the rug they should actually
take charge and put it to an end. This process allows students to feel safe at school
because now they know someone will listen and help if they ever need help.
Millions of kids get bullied everyday and dont tell anyone for fear of not being listened
too or being victimized by authority instead. Bullying is an epidemic that has been going
on for far too long. STOMP Out Bullying relates to bullying within our society because
theyre bringing awareness to the world about the seriousness bullying has on kids who
experience it firsthand.
STOMP Out Bullying helps society in general because they bring us together for the
same cause. They dont leave anything to the imagination, showing us videos of real
people experiencing bullying firsthand. They impact us by stirring our emotions on the
cause and motivating us to take action and not to stay silent any longer. They affect us by
making us realize that we would rather look away then take a chance at helping someone
us for fear of society turning against us. They show us that, that is not the case any longer
and that no matter what happens to us we cant just walk away.
STOMP Out Bullying has a day dedicated to the prevention of bullying: October 5th. On
this day you wear a blue shirt to show others your position on bullying. They characterize
themselves using a footprint to represent stomping out bullying. They using uppercase
letters in STOMP to show they mean business of stomping out bullying.
STOMP Out Bullying main focus is preventing all forms of bullying and educating the
public on bullying and how you can help. Theyre against homophobia, racism, hatred,
decreasing school absenteeism, violence and bullying. Their mission is to help the world
realize that we are all the same and that there is no justification to degrading someone
else.
STOMP Out Bullying uses the youth, celebrity endorsement, social media campaigns,
peer mentoring programs in school, fundraising, and their website to educate people on
the awareness of bullying and other topics.

STOMP Out Bullying realizes that the world is so much more danger now then it was
years ago with the increasing of the Internet and access to guns, drugs, cutting, etc. They
hope to bring the world together through their messages and stop bullying for good. They
know the only way itll stop is if we all get together and make a change.
