    careerofneonatology.Eversincemybrotherwasborn,Ihavehadalargeamountofinterestin
    medicalcareersfornewbornsandinfants.AfterwatchingaseasonLittleCouple,Iwas
    movedbyDr.JenniferArnoldinherworkenvironmentanditwasamazingtowatch.Atthat
    moment,IfinallyfiguredoutmycareerchoiceandthatDr.JenniferArnoldbecamemyrole
    model.Sincethattime,ithasgenuinelyinspiredmetomakeadifferencetohelpsavethelives
    ofothersandgivethatnewbornachanceatlife.Neonataldoctorsaretrulylifechangingand
    theyhavethepotentialtosavemanylivesoffnewbornchildren.Newequipmentandtechnology
    hasimprovedthestateofneonatologyandothercountriesarealsostartingtoupdateand
    strengthentheirneonataldepartment.Thiscareernotonlybenefitsandhelpsthechild,but
    neonatalcareandtheNICU(NeonatalIntensiveCareUnit)canpreventamotherfromhaving
    symptomsofPTSD,emotionaldisordersandalsomakethemotherfeelmorecomfortable.
    Neonatologyisaveryrewardingcareerchoice,butalsohasahighburnoutrateduetothe
    stressfulenvironmentandthecareerisveryemotionallydraining.Thiscareeralsorequiresalot
    ofpassionanddriveinordertosucceed.Youdohavetogointothatfieldknowingthatyoucan
    notsaveeverynewborn,butyoudideverythingyoucouldtosavethem.
