The Odyssey Lyric Analysis Life Journey

Task: You will pick a minimum of 3 songs to explain your life journey. Just like
Odysseus in The Odyssey, the songs you pick must reflect the struggles
and triumphs you have experienced or are currently experiencing, just as the
books in The Odyssey tell the story of Odysseus trying to return home and
the challenges and temptation he met along the way. You will pick a 4th song
that must reflect a book in The Odyssey that we read as well as an event
that happened in your life.
Steps:
1. Choose 3 songs.
2. Copy and Paste the lyrics onto a word document.
3. Analyze the meaning of each song and what event it reflects on your
lifes journey, citing evidence from the lyrics and providing
explanations of specific lines in each song. Analysis will be a minimum
of 2-3 paragraphs.
4. Choose a song (4th) that reflects a book in The Odyssey that you read
as well as an event or time in your own life. You will analyze the song
lyrics citing evidence and provide explanations of specific lines in the
song. Also, for this portion of the project, you will cite evidence from
the text, The Odyssey, to support your reasons and descriptions.
Ultimately, you will compare and contrast your life event to whichever
book from The Odyssey that you choose. This section must be a
minimum of 2-3 paragraphs.
5. Must be typed (12 point font, Times New Roman, Double Spaced with
no spacing before or after the line)
6. Must have a creative title for your project that is representative of your
lifes journey.
