Profile:
I am a hardworking and fully qualified teacher of History and Geography and I have nine years teaching
experience spanning a variety of different schools and subjects and achieving a continuously high
standard of results. I have exceptional subject knowledge and an interesting and innovative teacher style
which develops student interest in the subject and I understand and am experienced in the development
of lessons with differentiation for all as well as assessment for learning. I keep up to date with the latest
teaching methods and IT programmes to expand and enhance my teaching. I am committed to arranging
and leading school excursions as I believe they are invaluable to a childs education outside of the
classroom.
I am fit and healthy and enjoy sports, such as hockey, tennis, netball and running and thus developing
and assisting extra-curricular activities. I also speak Spanish and like to help out charitable organisations
where I can.
Having recently had my first child I have been taking a break from main stream teaching and have
embarked on exam marking for Cambridge and EDEXCEL while continuing my tutoring with Justin Craig
and working as a cover supervisor at Maplesden Noakes School in Maidstone. I welcome opportunities
which allow me to work within stimulating and challenging environments that enable me to use skills
that have been successfully developed throughout my current and previous positions and that will
provide me with opportunities for self-development.
