AN INTRODUCTION TO INTERCULTURAL COMMUNICATION CONTEXTS

Intercultural communication is a form of communication that aims to share


information across different cultures and social groups. It is used to describe
the wide range of communication processes and problems that naturally
appear within social context made up of individuals from different religious,
social, ethnic, and educational backgrounds.
In the globalized society, people come from all over the world, with different
cultures. They always need to communicate in a common way forward to the
development. The language issue was resolved when English is recognized
as the global language. However, the understanding of culture plays an
important role, decided to convey meaning in communication. Therefore,
culture is considered an important part in the field of education, particularly
language education. Winston Breambeck linguists said: "know a language
that does not understand their culture, it is the best way to make yourself a
fool speak foreign languages fluently."
