Sunday School: Taking Down the Jericho Walls

Joshua 6
Intro:
1. The city of Jericho was straightly shut up. (v.1)
This is a description of the walls of Jericho which are impregnable.
In the eyes of the outsiders, Jericho was a fortress.
2. Fortress means a stronghold; it is because of its strong walls that would make
any attack inside the city become impossible.
3. As we continue to live our Christian life, we will encounter different fortresses
in our life that needs to be taken down.
Were not talking about problems in life.
Were talking about Satans strongholds in our life- things that will
make us commit sin.
i. Temper
ii. Pride
iii. Lust
iv. Tongue
4. This fortress is a barrier that keeps us from attaining the fullness of Christ.
