General Comments: A solid beginning lesson, Jessica! Your plans were well
organized; had clear objectives; and included engaging resources and
activities (Smart Board)! You had positive rapport with students; gave
them clear directions; and connected to their previous learning. You
reviewed important academic language (sequencing words). You used the
Smart Board to focus student attention and create participation for them.
What criteria were you using to assess whether students understood your
learning objective? I like the way you challenged students to explain why
they disagreed with a sequencing choice. How can you create more
sharing of differing perspectives with students? Your reflection about
