Attitudes towards ICT in education

Level 5

You should also participate in both digital and personal networks where technology and learning are
addressed in order to share your thoughts and attitudes with other people. Preferably collaborate with other
teachers about your own development in such networks, but also be conscious of involving other teachers at
the school in the discussions. Through active participation in the public debate, you will both influence others
and have your own attitudes challenged and your own competence enhanced. If you do not have any formal
competence in use of ICT in teaching, you should consider further education.
Plan and implement teaching

Level 5

Work systematically to further develop your planning and execution, maybe using methods such as
Microteaching. Involve other teachers in your development work, and share experiences and
knowledge with them. Participate actively in school development projects, but also contribute on
arenas outside your own school.
The use of digital learning resources

Level 5

If the activity at your own school already is exemplary, you should consider whether your active testing and
sharing may be further developed through better organisation, for example. Also assess whether you may
expand your horizon through participation in international networks and/or projects.
Class Leadership in Digital Environments

Level 4

You should use your experience and competence so that more members of the teaching staff may benefit
from it. Make yourself available to the school administration for sharing of experiences, peer guidance,
mentor schemes, etc. By supporting and coaching others, you will also develop your own competence.
Various projects should also be appropriate for you.

The use of standard software

Level 5

Look for opportunities to participate in large projects or networks where you may contribute your
competence, but also be to challenged and to enhance your own competence and discover new
opportunities. You should also consider becoming a mentor for others.
Creative production

Level 5

Look for opportunities for participation in international projects to stimulate your own curiosity and perhaps
help you take the next step. Consider whether your initiatives at your own school are sufficiently
systematised and integrated into the organisation and look for opportunities outside your school.
Internet and social media

Level 4

Consider whether you can involve other teachers at the school so that more students will have a chance to
partake in the opportunities provided by doing their own web productions. Be actively involved in exchange
of experience and preferably contribute to any mentor scheme at the school. In this way you will help more
people become involved and expand the pedagogical aspects of online opportunities.

3. Digital communication Demobruker Lrermentor

The use of digital communication tools

Level 4

Participation in projects where the students are active users of digital communication tools is also an exciting
way to improve your own competence. Systematic evaluation of the students' use will result in better insight
into different issues. Also participate in discussions about this topic, preferably also outside your own school.
Coaching other teachers is also a way to develop your own competence. The school's plans may be
something you should be interested in.
Ethics in digital communication

Level 4

You may develop your own competence and understanding through participation in different
networks and projects, not least if you play a leading role or are active in some other way.
Systematic evaluation of your own practice is important, and methods such as Microteaching may
be a good idea. You should also become involved in the school's plans and contribute to competence
enhancement among the colleagues. This may provide you with new insight.
Language and culture in digital communication

Level 5

You may develop your own competence through participation in various national and international networks,
both with and without active participation by students. Contributing at your own school and to your own
colleagues is useful, as you may obtain input regarding your own practice.

4. Digital judgment Demobruker Lrermentor

Privacy

Level 5

Use your competence within the field on many arenas, for example by raising such issues at parent-teacher
meetings and via various other channels. It may also be relevant for you to offer your services outside your
own school. Also be active in the regularly occurring discussions regarding challenges linked to protection of
privacy.
Ethics

Level 4

Since ethical challenges primarily are about attitudes, it is important that this topic be discussed on a regular
basis at the school, not only in the individual teams, but among the entire staff. You may be a resource in
this regard and should, if you have not already done so, initiate discussion of procedures and guidelines for
ethics on the Internet at the school.
Intellectual Property Rights

Level 5

You are a resource for the school and should make sure more people benefit from your competence
within this field. By teaching other teachers your own competence will also be enhanced.

Source evaluation

Level 4

It is important that you share your knowledge, your attitude and experience with other teachers at the
school to ensure other students have the opportunity to learn the same critical attitude towards sources.
