eldest was 2nd year college at TMLRC and taking up Criminology as a
course. Then, the second was her and the youngest was Grade 9. She
was close to her parents and sister except to her brother. Her brother
was her problem because they didnt talk to each other even though
they were in the same house. She was not close to her brother because
according to her, her brother was different among their characteristics.
She also told me that her brother has a job in vulcanizing shop but he
always beg some money in their mother even if it is for his smoking
habit. Thats the reason why she didnt like her brother.
When I told her about her course, she told me that she didnt
know what course she will take in college. Her parents told her that she

will take the course Education. When she was in elementary, she does
not thinking of what she wants in the future.
When I asked her about her impression in college life, she told me
that college life was so difficult but sometimes it was exciting and fun.
According to her, it was so very difficult to adjust in college life
because when she was in high school the transition of topics was
within three days but now within one day, one chap ter was finished.
She told me that the exam now was difficult compared to exam in high
school. She also told me that English subject now was quite difficult
unlike the English subject in high school. She told me also that the
teachers in BatStateU are good in teaching. She had learned a lot
about the different subject that she takes this semester.
Joyce Ann also told me that she was busy because they have
different practical exams that they perform in finals so they were
always practicing this performance after class.
When I told her about what major she will be mastering, she told
me that she want Science but she didnt know if there is a possibility
that our school will be open that major, thats why she has a second
choice which is English.
We also talked about scholarship. She has scholarship in BHW
and also the scholar of Senator Ralph Recto. Then I told her that she
was bless because she had scholarships unlike me I dont have
scholarship outside the school, but then I was University Scholar with a
maintaining grades of 1.75. I am striving my best to come up in this
average. We also talked about the different grades in college.

We had a great conversation even though we have a small

amount of time to talk because we will have our classes for that time.
She is a kind of student that was joyful, kind and friendly.

She wants Criminology as a course but her parents and brothers
dont want her to take that course because they want Kimberly to be a
teacher. So she took that course. She told me that taking the course
that she didnt want was so hard but she will do her best to pass this
course then after graduation she will take the NAPLCOM Exam. When
she will pass that exam she will be trained as a policewoman so she

will achieve her dream. I told her that we were the same in that part
because when I am in high school I want to be a policewoman but I
didnt took that course because I got a scholar in this school and
teacher was a course that my parents want for me.
When I asked her about her impression in college life, she told me
that college life was so difficult but sometimes it was exciting and fun.
According to her, it was so very difficult to adjust in college life
because when she was in high school the transition of topics was
within three days but now within one day, one chapter was finished.
She also finds difficulty in mingling with her classmates because their
attitudes were different with her classmates in high school. But she has
friends now in their classroom.
Kimberly also told me that she was busy because they have
different practical exams that they perform in finals so they were
always practicing this performance after class. They have many
finances in these exams and they always arrived in their room late.

According to Roselyn she was close to her mother and father
because she opens the entire problem that she encountered in her life.

While she didnt know how to handle her problem she asked her
parents what to do, to solve that problem. Even though she was close
to her father, she sometimes scolded by her father. She told me that,
there are times that her father scold her even though she didnt do
anything wrong. So I told her that maybe your father wants you to be a
responsible child for her or maybe because you are the eldest girl in
your house so he disciplines you in that way. I also told her that, she
needs to understand her father because her father wants her to be a
good child for him.
When she said that her brothers were taken up Engineering as a
course, I asked her why she didnt take up the same course. She told
me that, she didnt want to take this course because as she can saw to
her brothers it was so difficult to take up this course and shes not fond
of Mathematics subject. She took up Bachelor of Elementary Education
as a course because she wants it. At first she wants Bachelor of
Secondary Education but her father and auntie told her to take
Bachelor of Elementary Education as a course. She liked this course
now.
When I asked her about her impression in college life, she told me
that at first she was afraid but excited with the new stage of her life.
She was afraid with the challenges and task that she will encounter in
this level but she was excited with the different characteristics of her
classmates. When I asked her about her college life, she told me that
she didnt find it difficult.

Our conversation was good. We talked normally like were sisters

or friend. We talked a lot of things about her and I also share about
myself, too. We share our experiences in life to each other. We have
similarities in terms of experiences. But in terms of characteristics we
didnt always the same. She was a shy type of student.
