MECHANICAL MAINTENANCE ENGINEER

The Mechanical Maintenance
Engineer is a qualified technician able to operate the machine in normal conditions, to
set and adjust all mechanical
parts and to carry out repairing and maintenance operations. He/she is not qualified to operate on energised
electric installations.

MANUTENTORE OLEODINAMICO
Tecnico qualificato in grado
di condurre la macchina in
condizioni normali ed intervenire sugli organi oleodinamici per effettuare tutte le
regolazioni, interventi di manutenzione e riparazioni necessarie. Non abilitato ad

OIL-DYNAMIC MAINTENANCE ENGINEER

The Oil-dynamic Maintenance
Engineer is a qualified technician, able to operate the
machine in normal conditions, to set and adjust all oildynamic parts and carry out
repairing and maintenance
operations. He/she is not
qualified to operate on energised electric installations.

This symbol identifies qualified personnel, that means

personnel having specific
skills for the needed operations. As the operations marked by this symbol must be
carried out completely by
hand, operators skills and
accuracy are very important
to obtain the best results.

MANUTENTORE ELETTRICO O PERSONA ISTRUITA

SAFETY PRESCRIPTIONS

ELECTRICAL MAINTENANCE ENGINEER OR

SKILLED PERSONNEL
This engineer is a qualified
technician, able to operate
the machine in normal conditions, to set and adjust all
electric components and to
carry out repairing and maintenance operations. He/she
is qualified to operate on
energised electric installations inside electric boxes.

condizioni normali; preposto a tutti gli interventi di natura elettrica di regolazione,
di manutenzione e di riparazione.
E in grado di operare in presenza di tensione all interno

CONSIGLIO
Si riferisce ad un modo di
lavoro sperimentato in fabbrica, ben sapendo che ogni
operatore sviluppa poi un

A suggestion is a way of working that has been directly
experienced inside the factory. We know, however, that
each operator develops his/
her own way of working.

Before machine installation, the purchaser must

make sure that the floor
where the machine is to be
installed is well levelled,
that it can support the
weight of the machine (see
technical specifications
Part 3 and foundation
specifications sent by
OMV) and that technical
arrangements have been
completed.

Prima dellinstallazione
della macchina, il cliente
deve assicurarsi che il
pavimento dove verr
installata sia sufficientemente livellato, che ne
possa supportare il peso
(vedi caratteristiche tecniche Parte 3 e specifiche di
fondazione precedentemente inviate) e che vi
siano le predisposizioni
tecnologiche.

E fatto obbligo al cliente di

verificare che limpianto elettrico di rete dove la macchina verr installata, sia fornito di una buona messa a
terra, sufficiente per la potenza assorbita.
In caso contrario, adeguare
il proprio impianto (vedi CARATTERISTICHE TECNICHE Parte 3).

The purchaser has the obligation to control that electric

system the machine is to be
plugged to is equipped with
grounding wire fitting the input voltage.
If it is not, adjust the system
accordingly (see TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS
Part 3).

Il personale addetto alla movimentazione della macchina, delle attrezzature e di

parti scollegate, deve sempre indossare guanti da lavoro e scarpe antinfortunistiche ed eventualmente un
casco.

Personnel responsible for

handling of the machine,
equipment and parts, must
always wear safety gloves
and shoes and, when necessary, a helmet.

Per le operazioni di movimentazione della macchina

disimballata, fare riferimento
ala capitolo TRASPORTO E
INSTALLAZIONE (Parte 4).
In qualunque caso, non sollevarla mai dai tubi o dalle
carenature, ma utilizzare i
golfari, con funi di portata
adeguata (vedi CARATTERISTICHE TECNICHE Parte
3) sollevando le parti della
macchina al massimo 30 cm.
da terra (salvo ostacoli) e movimentarla molto lentamente.

For handling of the unpacked

machine, refer to Part 4
TRANSPORT AND INSTALLATION.
In any case, never hoist the
machine by slinging its tubes or fairing, but always
use eyebolts with ropes of
appropriate carriage capacity (see TECHNICAL
SPECIFICATIONS part 3).
Do not lift the machine more
than 30 cm from the ground
(except in case of obstacles)
and handle it slowly.

Before any kind of cleaning,

the machine must be set to
no voltage state. Switch the
network and general machine selector to 0 position.

Per qualsiasi inconveniente

che si possa creare durante
la messa a punto, durante il
ciclo produttivo o altro, premere immediatamente il
pulsante STOP DI EMERGENZA.

For any problems arising during machine set-up, du-ring

the production cycle etc, immediately press the EMERGENCY STOP BUTTON.

NOTA
Leggere alla Parte 8 ARRESTI tutti i modi in cui la
macchina pu fermarsi o si
ferma, in modo da prepararsi per tempo ad ogni evenienza.

NOTE
Read in Part 8 (MACHINE
STOP) of this Manual how
the machine stops or may be
stopped in such a way as to
be ready for any emergency.

Ricordarsi che il pulsante

STOP DI EMERGENZA ferma istantaneamente tutti gli
organi in movimento della
macchina. Tuttavia lolio rimane a temperatura di lavoo (massima circa 55C).

Remember that even though

the EMERGENCY STOP
BUTTON immediately stops
all parts of the machine, the
oil is kept at working temperature (that is max. 55C).

Qualora non sia possibile

portare totalmente la macchina allo stato energetico
ZERO, si deve cintare e/o
segnalare i lavori in corso,
apponendovi un cartello
sullinterruttore di rete: LAVORI IN CORSO.

In case it is not possible to

bring the machine to no voltage state, enclose or/and
properly mark the area and
place a warning sign on the
main supply switch stating
WORK IN PROGRESS
DO NOT CONNECT.

Non appoggiarsi mai, o sedersi per nessuna ragione,

in nessuna parte della macchina, sia che questa si trovi
in fase di ciclo produttivo,
sia che si trovi in stato di
emergenza o in stato energetico ZERO.

For no reasons, sit on nor

lean against any parts of the
machine, both during its
production cycle and when it
is in no-voltage state or in
emergency state.

La messa a punto va eseguita in presenza del tecnico

OMV. La manutenzione della macchina deve essere
eseguita solo dal Manutentore elettrico, Manutentore
meccanico, Manutentore
oleodinamico, e che sia a
conoscenza del contenuto di
questo manuale.

Machine setting must be made at the presence of OMVs

technician and machine maintenance must be carried out
only by the engineers responsible for electric, mechanical
and oil-dynamic maintenance, who must be properly
trained and must know the
contents of this manual.

Le chiavi di tutti gli sportelli

di accesso alle zone interne
della macchina devono
essere sempre e solo in
possesso del responsabile
di reparto dove la macchina
verr o installata.

The keys of all access doors

to machine internal area
must be kept by the foreman
of the department where the
machine is to be installed.

During the production cycle,

the operators correct position is in front of the control
panel board, because from
there he/she can observe
the production cycle and can
therefore control that nobody is standing in the area
neighbouring the machine.

Durante il ciclo produttivo,

la posizione corretta in cui
loperatore deve stazionare
in permanenza di fronte
al quadro di comando poich da quel punto, oltre
che osservare lintero ciclo
produttivo, ha pi possibilit di osservare contemporaneamente anche leventuale presenza di una persona esposta nellarea

Non manomettere o deteriorare volutamente gli schemi

di sicurezza, n rimuovere o
nascondere le etichette di
avvertimento.

Do not tamper with nor damage safety diagrams and

do not remove nor hide warning labels.

NOTE
IN CASE THESE LABELS
ARE DAMAGED OR BECOME UNREADABLE, IMMEDIATELY ASK FOR THEIR
REPLACEMENT.
Machine setting, maintenance and cleaning must be carried out by one single maintenance engineer, NEVER
by more than one person,
except when it is expressly
required.
Moreover, he/she must always have protection glasses, gloves, shoes and helmet at his disposal, which he
shall wear when needed.

Le operazioni di messa a
punto, pulizia e manutenzione, devono essere eseguite
rigorosamente da un solo
manutentore, MAI DA PIU
persone, salvo dove indicato.
Inoltre deve sempre avere a
disposizione occhiali protettivi, guanti da lavoro, scarpe
antinfortunistiche, un casco e
devono essere usati secondo
necessit.
Deve inoltre:
- indossare una tuta da lavoro
chiusa ai polsi
- nel caso di capelli lunghi, bisogna legarli
- in qualsiasi caso, non deve
mai indossare oggetti e/o indumenti svolazzanti e/o lacerati tipo: collane, orologi, anelli, bracciali, foulard, cravatte
ecc.

Moreover he/she must:

- wear work overalls closed at
wrist
- in case he/she wears his/her hair
long, he/she must keep it tied.
- he/she must never wear fluttering or torn things such as
rings, bracelets, necklaces,
scarves, neckties etc.

Ricordarsi che dopo ogni intervento di pulizia, lubrificazione, regolazione e manutenzione, si devono ripristinare tutte le sicurezze e rimontare e/o chiudere tutti i
carter di protezione.

Always remember that, after

cleaning, lubrication, maintenance and setting operations, all safety protections
must be restored and all protection coverings must be
closed or/and placed back
to their correct position.

La macchina ha una punta

massima di rumorosit di 85
dB per pochi secondi. Normalmente invece inferiore
ma sempre elevata.
PERTANTO E OBBLIGATORIO INDOSSARE CUFFIE
O TAPPI PER LE ORECCHIE.

Machines highest noise level is of 85 dB for a few seconds. Noise level is normally
lower, but always quite high.

Loperatore deve avere cura

che lo spazio e il pavimento
intorno alla macchina sia sempre pulito in modo da evitare scivolamenti e di conseguenza urti e/o cadute.

The operator must take care

that the floor neighbouring
the machine is always
clean, in order to prevent
accidental slipping and falls
or/and bumps.

THEREFORE, OPERATORS
MUST ALWAYS WEAR EAR
PROTECTION CAPS OR
EARPHONES.

In case of replacement of
parts of the machine, always
use some appropriate hoisting means (always check
that the equipment hoisting
capacity is appropriate for
the weight of components to
be handled) and always wear
safety shoes and gloves.
In case of move to a new
production plant, see Part 4
TRANSPORT AND INSTALLATION and always empty
the oil circuit (see Part 10
LUBRICATION).

Quando si sostituisce un pezzo o un gruppo, osservare i

dati di targa, indossare guanti e scarpe antinfortunistiche
e utilizzare un mezzo di sollevamento adeguato al peso
ed alla forma del pezzo o
gruppo.

in no-voltage or in standby condition, or when it is
stopped for maintenance
and testing, nobody must
enter the binding area nor
the underground area.

Solo manutentori qualificati e che sono consapevoli del pericolo residuo -dopo che la macchina stata messa in
stato energetico zeropossono accedervi.

Only skilled personnel, trained and well aware of possible dangers, can enter
this area, after the machine has been switched to
the no-voltage state.

pezzi usati e/o rotti, utilizzare
solo ed esclusivamente parti
di ricambio originali.

In case of replacement of
failing or worn parts, always
use original spare parts.

Alla fine della vita della macchina, non disperderla nellambiente, ma rivolgersi alle
agenzie di smaltimento di materiali ferrosi o direttamente
al costruttore che dar istruzioni in merito.

At the end of the machines

life, do not disperse it in the
environment but always apply to specialised companies
for disposal of iron waste or
directly to the manufacturer,
who will give you information
about this subject.
In any case, before delivering the machine for disposal, empty the oil in the circuits (see Parts 10 and 11),
lock all mobile parts and handle the machine according
to instructions described in
Part 4 TRANSPORT AND
HANDLING.

In ogni caso, prima di consegnarla togliere lolio (Parti

10/11) e bloccare le parti
mobili, e movimentarla come
descritto nella Parte 4 TRASPORTO E INSTALLAZIONE.
